$10 million sewer and drainage package

Works Outline: Open cut installation of 8.5km of graded stormwater and 3.5km of graded sewer with over 250 manholes, two 7m deep pump stations, 400m of 355mm PE watermain and fourteen transition pits weighing in excess of 30tn each.

Specific Site Challenges: This contract has a 100-year design life from an international design company, which has meant Waipa Civil has been able to bring our extensive local drainage knowledge to assist and help advise them regarding materials and methodology. The 100-year design life has also meant that we have had to complete high quality standards with low tolerances. The pipelines have also been designed with small grades at up to 4m deep, the team has had to ensure solid foundations are constructed at these depths. Waipa Civil has also had to work alongside another 300+ workers on site and ensure we meet high health and safety commitments.
